One of the four nucleobases in the nucleic acid of DNA that is represented by the letter (T). The other nucleobases are adenine (A), cytosine (C), and guanine (G). Its chemical formula is C5H6N2O2. Thymine is structurally analogous to uracil (U) in RNA.
